BACK TO SCHOOL

Dear AIS Community,

Early in my time at AIS, a first grade student stopped me and told me he wanted my job when he grew up. I still remember this because a lot of six year olds want to be firefighters or superheroes, but not many want to be school administrators. So I asked him: why do you want this job? He replied: “You walk around with coffee and say good morning.”

He was kinda right. A lot of our jobs, especially this week, was about greeting one another, building relationships, and establishing routines. Our teachers have devoted significant time in their classrooms doing just that. With this solid foundation of relationships and routines in place, we will soon be able to dive fully into the learning and fun in every classroom and corner of campus.

For more on the learning taking place at AIS, please take a moment to review the attached Bulletin. It includes upcoming events, health and support team notes, service learning highlights, upcoming athletic engagements, and spotlights on learning at each division.

We look forward to connecting with you throughout the year, and especially at our Back to School event for Primary and Secondary this Wednesday, August 19th. We are grateful for the chance to work together in partnership this year.

Sincerely,
Mr. Nash

Thanks for being a part of it,

Mr. Nash
